Networking Receptions

Each semester, a reception is held for Presidential Scholars to learn more about Individual Opportunity Scholarship for internships, study abroad and research, as well as the chance to connect with other Scholars. The fall event is a Welcome & Recognition Reception for first-year Presidential Scholars, and the spring event is a mixer for all Presidential Scholars.

Campus Connections

Presidential Scholars have priority access to campus resources and connections through the program. Any Presidential Scholar may contact the program coordinator to find answers to questions or be connected directly to campus resources.

Support for Progress to Degree

Presidential Scholars are expected to complete 30 credit hours per year, maintain at least a 2.0 GPA and stay on track to graduate in four years. To help scholars accomplish this, the Presidential Scholars program coordinator will regularly review scholars’ progress and refer them to academic and personal support resources such as tutoring services, academic advising and CARE counselors. Scholars may contact at any time, and the program coordinator will happily refer them to the best resources.
